WPS Secures £23.5 Million in Decarbonisation Projects
More than 2,500 social homes across the UK are set for energy-efficiency upgrades after WPS secured four contracts through the Greener Futures Partnership framework.
Funded under Wave 3 of the Government’s Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund, the projects span the North-East, London, South Yorkshire and Cambridgeshire. Works include loft and cavity wall insulation, upgraded windows and doors, solar PV systems and air-source heat pumps, all aimed at improving EPC ratings and cutting energy costs for residents.
The programme builds on WPS’s track record of delivering over £200m in energy optimisation works through earlier funding phases. Alongside decarbonisation goals, the upgrades are expected to improve health outcomes, tackle damp and mould, and make homes more affordable to heat.
It’s another example of how frameworks like GFP are enabling collaboration at scale, helping social housing providers move closer to 2030 EPC targets and wider net zero ambitions!
