Industry And Government Set New Bar For Workplace Health
New workplace health framework launched for high-risk industries.
Industry leaders, government and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have launched a new set of Workplace Health and Wellbeing Leadership Principles aimed at raising standards across the chemicals and major hazards sectors.
The framework places greater accountability on senior leaders to prioritise both physical and mental wellbeing, with a stronger focus on prevention, workforce engagement and long-term health outcomes.
Developed collaboratively by regulators, employers, trade associations and unions, the initiative reflects a growing recognition that workplace health should be given the same strategic importance as workplace safety.
