Robertson Supports World-Class Research with Completion of Life Sciences Innovation Hub in Dundee
Robertson Construction has completed the University of Dundee’s new Life Sciences Innovation Hub, a state-of-the-art facility designed to support the growth of Scotland’s life sciences sector.
The 5,000m² building will provide high-spec laboratories, flexible workspaces and collaboration areas for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. The hub aims to accelerate research and commercial innovation while supporting the Scottish Government’s ambition to grow the life sciences sector into a £25 billion industry by 2035.
The project received £20.2 million in funding through the Tay Cities Region Deal, alongside support from Scottish Enterprise, the UK Government and the University of Dundee.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the building incorporates energy-efficient systems and ground source heat pump technology to support the University’s goal of reaching net zero by 2045.
