Dalkia Completes Decarbonisation Scheme at Arup’s London HQ
Arup has completed a £3.1m decarbonisation retrofit at its London HQ.
Delivered by Dalkia, the project replaced gas boilers and chillers with air-source heat pumps using low-GWP refrigerant, alongside a CO₂-based domestic hot water system.
The result - a projected annual reduction of 250 tonnes of CO₂, equivalent to emissions from 150+ UK homes.
System efficiency has jumped from 85% to over 300%, all while maintaining performance in an occupied building. A practical, high-impact step towards Arup’s science-based net zero target by 2040.
