How to Maintain Relationships with Candidates?
Recruitment isn't just about finding the next candidate or client... It’s about understanding people.
Featured in Facilities Management Journal: State of FM Recruitment
300 North's Michelle Connolly was delighted to contribute to the September edition of the Facilities Management Journal (FMJ), sharing her perspective on the state of FM recruitment.
How To Retain FM Talent - It's Not All About The Salary
In today’s facilities management market, retention has become just as important as recruitment. With skilled professionals in short supply and demand rising, holding onto your best people is now a strategic priority.
While pay will always play a part, it’s far from the whole picture. At 300 North, we see every day that keeping people engaged requires a holistic, people-first approach.

Tell Us About Yourself
I’m Tamryn, a people person at heart with a passion for connecting others with meaningful opportunities. I love a good laugh and believe in always bringing a positive energy wherever I go. I am also a proud mom to a busy (and very
entertaining) 4-year-old who keeps me on my toes!
Please tell everyone about your role and a little bit about your professional background
I am a Talent Resourcer focusing on the Facilities Management and Construction sectors. I have worked in agency recruitment for the past 6 years, building strong client and candidate relationships. I pride myself on being approachable, driven and committed to quality matchmaking – on both sides of the hiring table.
What is the first job you ever had?
My very first job was waitressing at a local pub – I definitely learned patience and people skills, very quickly!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spending quality time with my family, experimenting with new recipes (usually something spicy), or binge-watching a good series with a cup of tea.
Dream travel location?
France – whether it is exploring the romantic streets of Paris, relaxing in the South, or enjoying pastries in a little village café – it is definitely at the top of my list!
Favourite movie/book?
Pretty much anything animated – I love the clever adult humour hidden in them. Whether it is Shrek or Despicable Me – I’m all in!
Favourite country visited?
I have only been to the USA so far, but Vegas and Niagara Falls were definitely my favourite destinations – both so different but equally unforgettable!
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
Probably a holiday home near the mountains and maybe a plane ticket or two for a once in a lifetime trip!
Hidden talents? (& tell us something about yourself that people might not know!)
I have an impressive memory for song lyrics – 90’s hits, Disney songs, you name it! Something about myself that people might not know: I am always down for a competitive game of 30 Seconds or Monopoly!
