Salary: £45k per annum
300 North are delighted to be partnering with a leading UK Facilities Management provider to recruit an experienced Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where you'll play a key role in securing new contracts across Hard FM, Soft FM and Total Facilities Management services.
Working closely with the Business Development and Bid teams, you'll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive and commercially viable cost models for a range of FM tenders, helping to win profitable long-term contracts.
The Role
As an Estimator, you'll be involved throughout the bid lifecycle, supporting the pricing strategy from initial tender review through to final submission. This is a commercially focused position requiring strong analytical skills, FM sector knowledge and the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review ITT documentation and client specifications to understand project scope.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for Hard FM, Soft FM and Integrated FM contracts.
- Develop detailed pricing models using labour, material and subcontractor costs.
- Build staffing models, productivity assumptions and lifecycle costings.
- Obtain, review and negotiate subcontractor quotations.
- Identify commercial risks, pricing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure all submissions comply with contractual, legal, health & safety and environmental requirements.
- Work closely with Bid Managers, Business Development and Operational teams to develop winning tender strategies.
- Support bid governance, pricing reviews and client clarification meetings.
- Benchmark costs using previous tenders, market intelligence and industry trends.
About You
We're looking for someone with experience pricing Facilities Management contracts who understands both the commercial and operational aspects of service delivery.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as an Estimator within the Facilities Management sector.
- Knowledge of Hard FM, Soft FM or Total FM services.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial modelling skills.
- Experience working on competitive tenders and framework bids.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and contract documentation.
- Good knowledge of SFG20 maintenance standards.
- A relevant degree or equivalent industry experience is desirable.
