- £42-£46k (including guranteed retention bonus)
- Free training worth up to £4k
- Rotational shift pattern
- 4 days on 4 days off (7 am to 7 pm)
- 4 nights on 4 nights off pattern (7 pm - 7 am)

We are currently recruiting Mechanical Engineers to join an established team on one of 3 main Leicester hospitals (Location negoitable)
You will work as part of a maintenance team covering a 24/7 service to prestigeous hospital.
There is an up-to-date lifecycle program in place to ensure high standards & equipment are maintained at all times.
Duties include:
- Working on all mechanical building plants including:
- Pipefitting
- Pressure Systems
- Steam Traps
- Valves
- Compressors
- Steel and Copper pipework up to 4 inches
- Condenser unites
- Planned preventative maintenance and scheduled lifecycle project work
- Reactive breakdown work
- Working both on the wards (customer-facing) and behind the scenes (plant rooms)
- Completing all necessary paperwork associated with the role
- Managing on-site contractors
- Adhering to all Health and Safety policies and procedures
The Applicant:
The successful candidate will be an experienced mechanical engineer and will ideally have worked in a hospital or large critical site before.
Skills and Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 in Heating and Ventilating (C&G 6188)
- Maintenance experience on commercial properties
- Experience with pipefitting, pressure systems, and ideally steam
- Experience working as part of a team and leading others
- Positive attitude and good customer services
- Willing to learn and interesting in becoming an Authorised Person
