Maintenance Surveyor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Maintenance Surveyor to join a leading housing property organisation in Surrey.

As a Maintenance Surveyor you will be responsible for Providing the main surveying resource for the Asset Management Team.
Duties of the role will be
- Covering all aspects of the role that relate to responsive repairs, voids, mutual exchanges, damp and mould, etc
- Carry out Stock Condition Surveys
- Ensure Value for Money is achieved through effective management of contractors
- Arrange appointments with customers for the undertaking of Stock Condition Surveys
- Use a tablet device, linked to our Keystone database, to carry out Stock Condition Surveys in occupied dwellings and to the common parts of blocks of flats • To inspect building deficiencies and put forward proposals for remedial works, developing works specifications where necessary
- Inspect the completed maintenance works carried out by contractors, ensuring it is executed in a timely manner and to an acceptable quality standard
- Inspect property damage in situations where insurance claims may follow
- Carry out inspections of upcoming void properties to identify any resident rechargeable repairs
- Carry out the inspection of new void properties and develop the specification of works required
- Act as our main point of contact with regards to executing our responsibilities as they relate to the Party Wall Act 1996
- Provide expert opinions when customers have queries or complaints about the homes in which they live
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet the needs and priorities of the Asset Management Team
- Seek best value and facilitate continuous performance improvement within the department team
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with Contractors, resident groups, client, consultants and internal departments at all levels
- Promote and act in accordance with all policies and procedures including those relating to equality and diversity, customer care, and health and safety.
- Contribute positively to the marketing of the company’s vision, values and objectives
- Comply with financial rules and our Code of Conduct
Qualifications/Requirements
- Holds a qualification in Building Surveying or a construction related subject
- Has a CSCS card
- Experience of working for a Social Housing Provider or similar -
- Ability to demonstrate experience relating to all Key and Generic Responsibilities
- Has current driving licence and own vehicle
- Computer literate, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
