North East



£35K plus van



My client is looking for a Building Services Supervisor to join their business in the North East.



You will be required to supervise the service delivery of engineering services across the North East Region properties in line with contract requirements, Safe Systems of Work and all associated process & procedures. Prioritising Critical Environments related strategy and governance to achieve 100% uptime and compliance



The Role:




  • To supervise, oversee and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements on Electrical Services on day shift basis and maintain electrical LV/HV AP status. Participate in a callout rota.


  • To ensure all Statutory Compliance and Health and Safety Requirements are met and upheld to the highest standards in line with contractual requirement and KPI's


  • To uphold 100% uptime of Critical Environments.


  • Develop a culture of recognition, reward, continuous improvement and right first time, which promotes a Zero Unplanned Downtime mentality.


  • E nsure that theIndustries best practices standards are effectively communicated, implemented and maintained to a high standard.


  • Ensure effective escalation, communication and recording of engineering operational risk.


  • To supervise the service delivery of engineering and building fabric by delivering planned & reactive maintenance across the North East Region properties to meet the contract SLA's and KPI's.


  • To manage the small works and IFN process for Engineering, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure works are completed to a high standard and in line with industry best practice.


  • Overall management responsibility of all engineering subcontractors operating within the North East Region properties, ensuring their service delivery meets the respective contractual obligations and industry standards.


  • Implementation and operational lead for the Optima Critical Environment Manual throughout the site engineering team.


  • To ensure that all technical activities on site are completed in accordance with ISS Safe Systems of Work and in accordance with the companies Health and Safety Policies.


  • To operate as a HV & LV Senior Authorised Person for the North East Region.


  • To assist the SCEM in maintaining the agreed LV & HVAP coverage for the North East Region at all times through liaison with the senior authorising engineer for the account, the management of engineering training and the operation of the engineering shift pattern.


  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Operating Procedures for all aspects of critical engineering within across the North East Region. This will include the provision of written switching schedules for the operation of HV & LV Electrical infrastructure.


  • Identify and implement training for the site team to promote and improve the team's competency in all areas as well as in line with contract requirements.


  • Responsible for the site submission of the monthly capacity report for the critical environment systems supporting operations within North East Region.


  • To work with CRES to provide opportunities for energy saving initiatives and provide updates on energy consumption levels to CRES as required.


  • To provide technical support as SME for Engineering to the North East Regions FM Team.


  • To ensure standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of all plant and associated M&E systems.


  • To ensure onsite audit readiness within engineering, host internal and external auditors and to carry out contract specific audit functions.


  • Responsibility for the completion of all engineering related audit corrective actions, utilising all platforms including Optima for the documentation and uploading of evidence to the satisfaction of the auditor.


  • To provide regular written reports on key engineering operations to all relevant stakeholder including a weekly operations report to Senior Critical Environment Manager and submission of the weekly critical systems report.


  • Provide site supervision/management and technical support for incident management, liaising with all key stakeholders and supporting adherence to incident management process.


  • Engage with and actively support the development of Capex plans in line with requirements. Identify potential projects and utilise the site asset register to provide potential avenues for CAPE
