PFI Compliance Director
We are recruiting for a PFI Compliance Director to join a leading infrastructure investment and asset management business, responsible for delivering long-term performance across a diverse portfolio of PPP and PFI projects. The role will take a strategic lead in ensuring technical and statutory compliance across building services, engineering systems, and operational facilities management activities.
This position can be based from home (ideally within the Midlands or North West region), with regular travel to operational sites as required.
- Salary: Up to £100,000 - £105,000 Plus excellent benefits
- Location Home based with Travel in the North and midlands regions
- Qualifications needed: Must have technical background qualified within Engineering
- Must have technical compliance experience within PFI PPP environments ideally healthcare
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical and engineering advice across a portfolio of complex infrastructure assets, supporting compliance with statutory, contractual, and industry standards.
- Lead compliance reviews and audits of service providers, identifying gaps and developing structured improvement plans to address risk and performance issues.
- Offer strategic oversight and guidance to project and FM teams on technical governance, lifecycle planning, and asset integrity.
- Support sites undergoing operational change, dispute resolution, or major strategic initiatives by coordinating specialist reviews and ensuring effective reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Promote best practice in compliance management across the organisation and represent the company at relevant industry and technical forums.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, including quality assurance and health and safety.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, clients, and service providers, to maintain trust and alignment with organisational goals.
Experience and Skills Required
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Building Services, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven background in technical compliance, asset management, or hard FM delivery within PFI, PPP, or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of statutory and technical compliance requirements for mechanical, electrical, and building services systems (healthcare experience – advantage)
- Ability to assess and close compliance gaps through structured improvement planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing or mentoring teams.
- Sound commercial and contractual awareness within the FM or infrastructure environment.
- Experience in budget management and reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Eligible to pass a relevant background or security check.
