Field Service Engineer - Aeroderivative Gas Turbines (U.S. Wide)
Remote (U.S. based) with extensive travel (up to 70%)
$95,000 - $130,000 base + overtime, travel uplift, and comprehensive benefits
Overview:
We are seeking experienced Field Service Engineers (FSEs) with strong mechanical maintenance expertise on aeroderivative gas turbines. These roles are U.S.-wide and involve significant travel (domestic and international). Engineers will support inspections, overhauls, commissioning, and troubleshooting of LM2500, LM6000, LMS100, and related aeroderivative units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical maintenance, inspections, overhauls, commissioning, and troubleshooting on aeroderivative gas turbines.
- Lead or support site-based projects at power plants, oil & gas terminals, industrial sites, and offshore platforms.
- Interface directly with clients, ensuring a professional customer-facing approach.
- Complete technical reporting, documentation, and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Travel up to 70% of the year, with rotations typically no longer than one month at a time.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or equivalent on aeroderivative gas turbines (LM2500, LM6000, LMS100) or aero engines.
- Strong mechanical background - inspections, overhauls, and commissioning. (Electrical/controls experience not required).
- Previous experience with OEMs or tier-one service providers such as GE Aviation, GE Vernova, Rolls Royce, Siemens (aero), or similar highly regarded.
- Ability to liaise confidently with clients in a customer-facing environment.
- BOSIET/ HUET certification for offshore work preferred (training can be provided).
- Flexibility to travel extensively across the U.S. and internationally.
