Description

PFI General Manager


  • Location: Liverpool
  • Salary: £82,000 – £89,000 + bonus + package
  • Hybrid role
  • PFI SPV management
  • Must have PFI contract ideally within education or healthcare or comer form SPV background

Our client, a leading social infrastructure organisation is seeking a PFI General Manager to oversee operational delivery across their portfolio of PFI projects. This is a senior role, acting as the main point of contact for teh SPV , ensuring all contractual, financial, and operational obligations are met while delivering exceptional service to clients and investors.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the day-to-day operations of PFI projects, including lifecycle, minor capital, and defect works.


  • Manage all contractual obligations and ensure compliance with legislation, Health & Safety, CDM regulations, and relevant standards.


  • Oversee SPV budgets, monitor revenue, costs, and variances, and ensure timely financial reporting.


  • Implement performance monitoring systems and prepare reports for clients, investors, and internal stakeholders.


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, contractors, and authorities.


  • Lead, develop, and manage SPV teams to ensure high performance and operational excellence.


  • Act as the SPV representative in meetings, audits, and operational reviews.


Candidate Requirements:



  • Proven experience managing operational PFI/PPP projects.


  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L management.


  • Extensive knowledge of PFI contractual frameworks and payment mechanisms.


  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.


  • Experience leading high-performing teams; engineering, construction, or FM background preferred.
