• £33,000 – £35,000 per year (37.5 Hour Week)

My client is looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to join their on-site maintenance team at the University of Sheffield Student Accommodation Village.

Duties of the role:

• Undertake heating/combustion & mechanical plant maintenance reactive repair works on a range of commercial and domestic systems across the accommodation portfolio.
• Ensure all issued works are completed within set time frames to ensure SLA’s are achieved and client expectations are met. Time management clear communication skills are essential.
• Undertake heating/combustion & mechanical plant Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works, within set time frames to ensure statutory compliance.
• Proactively identify and undertake heating/combustion maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by the client).
• Undertake heating/combustion improvement & Lifecycle works as required.
• Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault finding.
• Evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment

The candidate:
 

• The successful applicant must be reliable and professional, providing technical guidance and expertise to help shape and drive the maintenance / lifecycle requirements of the site.
• They must be an effective communicator, with the ability to deal with internal and external Stakeholders.
• They must be able to work on their own initiative whilst adhering to set procedures, have good time management and organisational skills and show a flexible attitude to working patterns.
