Commercial Manager

We are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join a leading Facilities Management Organisation based in Birmingham to lead the commercial delivery across a contract portfolio in the Midlands. The portfolio will consist of several PFI and non-PFI Facilities Management service contracts.

• £55000 - £60000 plus £6000 car allowance plus 10% bonus
• PFI Contract

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide contract commercial management, risk and opportunity management
• Manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including external relationships with clients, suppliers
• Improve operations and deliver against financial plans with the contract management team
• Continuous improvement in financial performance of the contract
• Management of variation/change control to capture revenue
• Leading governance within the contracts to ensure that the requirements of the contract and the companies own internal governance processes are being complied with
• Aiding the quality of service by ensuring awareness of contractual responsibilities among all other company colleagues  

Qualifications

• Commercial experience within the Facilities Management sector. Ideally experience working with PFI contracts or similar.
• Understanding and practical application of base UK law applicable to Commercial (Construction Act etc).
• Ideally a member or training to be member of a chartered institution.
• Excellent communicator
• Excellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracy
• Skilled negotiator with proven experience in a commercial environment
• Sound understanding of risk analysis/management
• Thorough knowledge and experience of Business Assurance systems.
