Senior Commercial Manager
Wea re recruiting for a Senior Commercial Manager to join a leading Facilities Management Organisation to be home based with Nationwide travel, working on their high profile district heating schemes across the UK.

As the Senior Commercial Manager you will have responsibility for ensuring compliance to contract deliverables, optimisation of contract performance, negotiating contracts with clients and third parties for the expansion of existing schemes (densification), dispute resolution and the financial closure of new schemes.
Duties
- Directing the regional commercial strategy in conjunction with the Commercial Director
- Delivering improved financial and compliance performance
- Leading the management and negotiation of new profitable contracts and contractual claims / disputes with clients and other third-parties
- Identifying, monitoring and accurately reporting on risks & opportunity ensuring compliance with the risk management framework.
- Leading governance within the contracts to ensure that the requirements of the contract and own internal governance processes are being complied with Supporting the management and mitigation of risks at all levels (operational, financial, commercial, technical, etc).
- Aiding the quality of service by ensuring awareness of contractual responsibilities among all other colleagues (including contract deliverables, scope of services etc.)
Candidate/Role Requirements
- Suitable commercial experience within a similar industry sector
- Educated to degree/ diploma level in either Law, Surveying (Building/Quantity), or the Built Environment (FM, Land).
- Understanding and practical application of base UK law applicable to Commercial (Construction Act etc).
- Experience with district heating schemes is desirable but not essential
- Ideally a member or training to be member of a chartered institution
- Excellent communicator
- Excellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracy
- Skilled negotiator with proven experience in a commercial environment
- Sound understanding of risk analysis/management
