Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their on-site maintenance team. Based in an educational setting.
The Commercial Gas Engineer will be required to:
- Undertake heating/combustion & mechanical plant maintenance reactive repair works on a range of commercial and domestic systems across the contract.
Ensure all issued works are completed within set time frames to ensure SLA's are achieved and client expectations are met.
Undertake heating/combustion & mechanical plant Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works, within set time frames to ensure statutory compliance.
Proactively identify and undertake heating/combustion maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by the client).
Undertake heating/combustion improvement & Lifecycle works as required.
Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault finding.
Evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment
Provide on-call support for Heating & general maintenance reactive works as part of a team rota.
Support the wider maintenance team with ad-hoc reactive & PPM works as required.
Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner.
Maintain stock, advising on requirements to ensure plant and system availability can be assured at all times.
Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops and storage areas.
Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings.
Proactively work safely, ensuring the safety and well-being of yourself, colleagues, students and visitors.
