Stores Person
Location: Derby
Salary: £20-23k per annum
Package: hours (07:30- 16:00) overtime available paid at x1.5
23 days holiday, increasing with each year of service up to 25.
Our Client:
A large growing FM Company has an immediate requirement for a Stores Person to work on a specific commercial contract based in Derby.
This is a chance to be involved in the initial set up of the store's facility for our client's new contract, the right candidate will have the opportunity to help design and implement the stores and office/welfare set up. This is a good opportunity for a forward-thinking stores person who wants to take control of their own facility and mould the roll to suit the contract.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To ensure smooth running of the day-to-day operations by having the ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- To ensure data is inputted within our bespoke system to ensure stock is recorded clearly and accurately, Manage all stock and equipment control, Point of contact for deliveries/order, Receiving goods that require the use of Forklift.
- Point of contact for external companies regarding inbound deliveries & point of contact for all internal engineers requiring stock.
- Ensure all items conform to any specified requirement and all relevant certification received with each consignment.
- Report any discrepancies/quality issues to supplier and raise returns as appropriate.
- Check all materials/components correspond to purchase order.
- Ensure the accuracy of all recorded stock through bespoke systems
- All goods to be receipted in and issued out to relevant engineer/ job in line with system references
- Goods to be stored in appropriate location.
- Ensure goods despatched to internal engineers are controlled and recorded, both to and from engineer
- Liaise with internal engineers daily to prepare stock for collection & ensure sufficient stock levels on the engineer's vans.
- Monitor stock levels as appropriate.
- Advise purchasing department of stock requirements.
- Carry out end of month stocktake.
- Reporting back to management on monthly stocktakes
Skills and Qualifications
- Forklift drivers' qualifications
- Previous experience within a similar environment, Trades merchants, Warehousing
