Exciting opportunity for a Building Manager in Hull

- £13.24 (Salary equiv £27,500)
- 40 hours per week, 8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
- £13.24 per hour, plus bonus opportunity
Responsibility for maintenance, porterage, daytime spot cleaning and tenant coordination for the whole facility.
The Building Manager will also ensure that all services are provided to a consistently high standard and assist the Facilities Management team in all areas required to meet the needs of both the business and the client.
The Building Manager will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team and may be required to take part in the out of hours on-call rota system.
Duties:
- Planned and reactive maintenance as required including utility monitoring and assisting the cleaning team where required.
- General maintenance and repairs to building fabric and associated equipment as necessary
- Identification and reporting/repairing of defects and maintenance requirements
- Porterage and caretaking tasks; including accepting deliveries, litter picking, weeding, removal of rubbish and the setting out of furniture to agreed timescales and standards
- Supervision and induction of Subcontractors
- Health & Safety duties; ensuring that the building is operated in a safe and legally compliant manner at all times
- Tenant liaison and coordination
- Health, Safety and Environmental watchdog
- Building Fire Officer
- Be a main key holder to Sewell properties, including responding to emergency call outs as part of the on-call rota system
Skills and Attributes

Essential:
- A satisfactory Enhanced DBS (criminal background) check
- Full Driving Licence, valid in the UK and own transport
- Have a positive and professional attitude
- Be computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Have a proactive attitude towards maintaining the facility at a world class quality level
Hold excellent communications skills and the ability to liaise with Tenant Groups & subcontractors
- Possess good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks
- Possess a positive approach to learning, development and progression
- Have a trade background or good practical core skills together with previous maintenance experience
- Have a flexible outlook towards hours worked (some out of hours working may be required)
- Have working knowledge of current Health and Safety practice
Desirable:
- Be First Aid at Work trained
