Description

Chartered Building Surveyor

Exciting opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to work with a leading property and construction organisation in Lancashire, North West.

As a Chartered Building Surveyor you will  carry out a wide range of Building Surveying activities including design, contract administration, defects analysis, schedules of condition, dilapidations and asset management advice.


  • Chartered Building Surveyor MRICS or FRICS
  • Health care and education experience (Advantage)
  • Salary £40,000 - £45,000 + Car allowance £5500 + benefits
  • Lancashire, North West
  • MRICS or FRICS qualified (essential)

Duties include:


  • Managing refurbishment, remodelling and new build projects from inception to completion, facilitate handover to clients.
  • Writing and preparing reports, technical specifications, drawings, schedules & related contract documentation.
  • Preparing documents for tender and advising on appointing contractors, designers and procurement routes.
  • Examine and review reports, specifications, submissions, drawings, calculations and the like issued for projects.
  • Provide professional project monitoring interface between the construction professions, contractors and client organisations.
  • Act as lead consultant on large complex schemes.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of JCT contracts including Design and Build.
  • Act as Principal Design under the CDM regulations.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and undertaking role of principle contact for projects.
  • Advising and supporting EWFM staff on technical, contractual and procedural issues relating to all property matters.
  • Deal with building pathology issues, fault diagnosis and defect rectification.
  • Undertake condition surveys.
  • Prepare and present reports.
  • Undertake dilapidations surveys and reports.

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Chartered Building Surveyor
  • MRICS/FRICS
  • Experience with healthcare and education advantage
