Bid Manager
We are recruiting for a Bid Manager to join our clients Project Team covering nationwide projects. Ideally you will be based in the South Yorkshire or West Midlands, East Midlands region.
You will work from home with travel nationwide and some visits to the local offices.
Summary:

- Location: South Yorkshire/Midlands
- Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Car allowance £5,300 + Excellent benefits package (good holidays, health care etc...)

Covering a diverse portfolio of work spanning across public and private sectors including small construction builds and large refurbishments. Between £1m - £10m These projects will cover occupied buildings including residential, social housing, commercial and public sectors.
Duties:
- As a Bid Manager you will secure work whilst also working within a closely knit team in order to drive projects forward in pre-construction, convert to a successful bid and hand over to the construction team at a very high standard.
- As Bid Manager you will be working as part of an established pre-construction team, that will support the success of every project through the tender and pre-construction phase.
- This role will focus on leading and owning the tender and pre-construction process on multiple competitive, negotiated, singe stage and 2 stage bids, working collaboratively with our pre-construction, operational and commercial teams.
- As an integral member of our pre-construction team, you will coordinate and manage all pre-construction and tender activities from initial expression of interest through to final submission and handover to the construction phase team, taking ownership of the process and content.
Qualifications/ Experience
- Demonstratable experience of developing winning proposals and proven ability to produce high quality written tenders - (ideally with a sound understanding of the social housing sector and having experience with 2 stage bids)
- High rise experience and cladding would be desirable
- Proven experience as a Bid Manager managing the bid process and chairing meetings
- Whilst you won't be writing bids, you'll ideally have had bid writing & administration experience with a proven track record of quality writing, as you'll be managing & motivating the bid team, whilst managing & influencing stakeholders at a senior level.
