Description

Role: Senior Project Manager

Location: Blackburn

Pay: £500 per day (Umbrella PAYE)

Contract: Temporary | 6 Months Minimum | Immediate Start

 

We're supporting a major Sustainable FM provider on a high-profile healthcare project in Blackburn.

This is hands-on leadership across multiple live lifecycle and variation projects in a complex, operational hospital environment.

 

The Role

You'll lead and oversee lifecycle and variation works across two healthcare sites.

You'll manage a team of Project Managers and a Project Coordinator, while retaining accountability for delivery, compliance, financial performance and stakeholder engagement across both sites.

This is M&E-heavy project delivery in critical clinical environments such as theatres, wards, plant, infrastructure. Precision and professionalism are essential.

 

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and support the team
  • Oversee high-value lifecycle works
  • Develop scopes, briefs, cost plans, programmes and risk assessments
  • Manage full project lifecycle:Maintain ISO-compliant, auditable documentation

    • Design
    • Procurement
    • PPP documentation
    • Delivery
    • Commissioning & handover

  • Drive contractor performance and ensure compliance with inductions, competence and site procedures
  • Hold financial responsibility for circa £10m revenue
  • Champion H&S, behavioural safety and CDM compliance
  • Act as escalation point for delivery issues across both sites
  • Identify efficiencies, innovation and value-add opportunities

     


What We're Looking For

Senior-level Project Manager with experience in:


  • PFI contracts
  • M&E-heavy lifecycle works
  • Strong leadership experience managing multiple PMs
  • Commercially aware - comfortable owning revenue streams
  • Excellent stakeholder management 

     


The Package


  • £500 per day Umbrella PAYE
  • Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week
  • Minimum 6-month contract
  • Enhanced DBS required
