Site Manager
- Location : Kingston Upon Thames
- 50 hours per week
- £200 per day
Our client requires a site manager to join their team working on a government buildings contract overseeing internal and external refurbishments of all of the government buildings.
The Role
- Ensure all work carried out is undertaken safely and actions taken do not endanger members of the public and workforce;
- Ensure all team members are wearing the correct PPE as stated in company policy;
- Ensure all relevant information has been recorded;
- All health and safety policies and procedures are followed;
- Monitor plant usage and control hire and off hire of plant;
- Ensuring that sufficient trained staff are available for the project and that they are aware of their responsibilities;
- Carry out near miss reporting, weekly site inspections, MSPV's raise any non-conformities are reported;
- Understanding and implementing the Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and Targets;
- Lead their respective delivery teams in delivering multiple sites varying in value from £15K - £2 million;
- Promote exceptional safety and deliver quality standards to all;
- Ensuring works procedures are in place to assist with control quality where applicable;
- Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are managed in a timely and proactive way giving accurate forecast and estimates;
- Being aware of the need to satisfy client requirements with the aim of enhancing the clients' perception and satisfaction;
- Maintain an appropriate practical knowledge and appreciation of all technical disciplines associated with delivering capital expenditure projects;
- Maintain a positive and solution orientated approach to work, providing open and honest feedback;
- In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the business as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive and beneficial relationships
- Liaising with Client management team
- Liaising with external suppliers, internal management team and supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years site experience
- Equivalent qualification in a construction related discipline
- SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- CSCS
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft IT packages
- Clean driving license (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in large scale project delivery, multiple small projects
- A working knowledge of CDM and construction Health and Safety
