Mechanical Maintenance Manager

We are recruiting for Mechanical Maintenance Manager to work on a Facilities Management Education contract on a large Estate in Leeds.

As the Mechanical Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the engineering services with regards to the planned, preventative and reactive maintenance and minor works is carried out efficiently and effectively. You will also be managing a small team of engineers.

Duties of the role


  • Providing advice in respect of all mechanical services maintenance issues
  • Providing line management support to maintenance staff
  • Ensuring compliance is adhered to with all mechanical maintenance services
  • Delivering the Mechanical Maintenance Services on the Estate
  • Budget Management to achieve performance and quality targets
  • Updating the Asset Management information
  • Ensure the planned maintenance plans and programmes are appropriately managed and delivered within agreed time, cost and quality parameters
  • Including the planned maintenance and minor works schemes are fully costed and included in the works programme
  • The procurement of services and materials is carried out in accordance with current
  • Undertake condition surveys of the mechanical services assets
  • Maintain appropriate inspection and testing registers for planned/routine maintenance work.
  • Deliver allocated projects (minor works projects and service contracts) as designated Engineer/Project Manager
  • Act as the appointed person for the management of specialist areas such as water systems, pressure vessels, HVAC plant and equipment
  • Provide accurate regular and reliable maintenance, condition, cost and programme information
  • Assist with the development of, and undertake the delivery of planned preventive maintenance programmes
  • Implement and monitor Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Mechanical Qualified (essential)
  • Experience in Project Management including design specification and procurement
  • Experience Providing Mechanical Maintenance service on a large estate
  • Experience Managing a team of engineers
  • Working knowledge of using CAFM (Computer aided facilities management) systems or maintenance management systems
