An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager with strong experience in aeroderivative gas turbines to join a global aerospace supply chain function. The focus of this role is to improve operational efficiency by leading initiatives that reduce repair turn around times for key gas generator modules. You will be responsible for turning strategic objectives into clear, deliverable actions that drive measurable results.

About the Role

In this position you will:

  • Assess current repair processes for gas generator modules and identify factors that extend repair times.

  • Design and implement strategies that shorten turn around times while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

  • Partner with engineering, supply chain, and governance teams to ensure alignment between operational improvements and wider business goals.

  • Explore and develop alternative supply chain partners to strengthen flexibility and reduce single-source dependencies.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule, addressing risks early to avoid delays.

  • Report progress and key performance indicators to senior stakeholders and leadership groups.

  • Build collaborative relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers to support smooth delivery.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical background (or at least 10 years' relevant industry experience).

  • Solid knowledge of aeroderivative gas turbine technology.

  • A strong track record of managing projects in complex supply chain or engineering environments.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across different functions.

  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and meeting strict deadlines.

  • The ability to use industry knowledge to support decision-making and deliver measurable outcomes.

Desirable Experience

  • Hands-on exposure to engine maintenance, assembly, or repair.

  • Understanding of product or machine configuration and related management processes.

  • Evidence of driving improvements that resulted in positive stakeholder or partner feedback.

  • Experience defining and monitoring success metrics for major initiatives.

What's Offered

  • Remote working from anywhere in the UK.

  • Support for relocation to Europe if preferred.

  • The chance to deliver meaningful improvements in a high-impact role.

  • Career growth opportunities within a complex international engineering and supply chain environment.
