Role: Project Manager - Air Handling Unit Replacements

Location: Romford

Salary: £70,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the replacement of air handling units within a long-term healthcare setting.

This is a hands-on leadership role, managing small-scale construction and maintenance projects.

You'll ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. From start to finish, you'll manage all aspects of the project, including design, contractor coordination, budgeting, and health & safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the replacement of air handling units, managing a £6M budget.
  

   

• Oversee mechanical, electrical, and building improvements within the facility.
  

   

• Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with healthcare standards. (PFI experience is a plus, but not essential.)
  

   

• Coordinate with contractors, stakeholders, and facility management to ensure smooth project delivery.
  

   

• Implement risk assessments, health & safety protocols, and quality control measures.
  

   

• Monitor the project's finances, ensuring cost-efficiency and budget compliance.
  

   

• Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  

   

Requirements:

• Proven experience in project and facilities management, particularly with mechanical and electrical systems.
  

   

• Strong background in construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects.
  

   

• Experience managing budgets, contractor relationships, and regulatory compliance.
  

   

• Knowledge of healthcare environments and regulations is preferred.
  

   

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
