The Role:

Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to take charge of an exciting FM contract in Exeter's education sector. If you have a track record of delivering excellent FM services, leading a talented team of engineers, and hold electrical qualifications, this could be your next big move!

Duties/Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a maintenance team of 4 Engineers responsible for the upkeep and repair of education buildings, electrical and mechanical systems, along with all associated components, including:
  
  
  
  • Building fabric repairs
  • Minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
  • Air handling system maintenance
  • Regular safety checks
  • Supervising contractors to ensure safe systems of work are followed
  • Completing preventative planned maintenance checks, such as:
    
    
    
    • Fire door checks
    • Emergency light testing
    • Fire extinguisher & fire blanket checks
    • Communal lighting checks
    • Undertaking building audits
    
    
  
  

Candidate specification:

• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
• 2391 test & inspection
• 18th edition qualified
• Experienced managing a multi-function engineering team and external contractors
• Have extensive knowledge of building services
• Competency in using and issuing work permits and safe systems of work
• Plumbing skills are advantageous
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Additional Information:

• Please note you are expected to be available for overtime work (including evenings and weekends) if required.
• The role is both office and site-based in Exeter.
• An enhanced DBS check will be completed
