We are currently seeking a Fire Installation Supervisor for a working role in the Leeds area. The company are a regional M&E contractor with an inhouse fire & security team. They work all over the UK so you will be required to work away.
All candidates must have previous experience in either installation work or small works. The ideal candidate should be able to work on their own initiative and have good fire alarm & fire industry experience to correct standards along with knowledge of emergency lighting systems.
Basic hours are 40hrs per week
The Role
- Carrying out planned Installation of Fire systems to the correct standard
Carry out system commissioning and handovers to customers.
Carry out fault finding on systems.
Completing paperwork to the required standard
Programming of systems and an understanding of cause and effect
Meet predefined target times for installation.
Awareness of Health & Safety
To present a professional appearance
Working closely with project managers
Working with the wider M&E Supervisors in the business
The Candidate
- Understanding of BS5839:1, BS5266:1 and BS7671
Experience of BAFE SP203-1
Working on own initiative
Good communicator with colleagues and Engineers.
Ability to work on own initiative, to resolve issues and proactively to avoid problems.
Ability to work under pressure.
