Description

Commercial Manager

My client is a large Facilities Management Company providing hard and soft facilities management services. They are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager to work on a Private finance initiative (PFI) in Wakefield to provide commercial support to the PFI contract, managing  multiple stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities


  • Support creation, development, and operation of commercial activities, focusing on PFI contracts.
  • Provide primary commercial assistance to Operational teams on PFI contracts, including query resolution and overseeing Commercial Variations processes,
  • Collaborate with Regional Commercial Managers to identify and address risks or opportunities in PFI contracts.
  • Enhance commercial performance across the business and support projects and procurement teams in PFI contracts.
  • Manage Contract Compliance Reviews for PFI contracts, including audits and improvement plans.
  • Escalate risk items appropriately and represent the RCM when needed in PFI contracts.
  • Drive commercial performance and manage regional commercial risk registers for PFI contracts.
  • Assist regional contract teams in contract application and reporting for PFI contracts.
  • Share best practices and ensure commercial resilience to external threats in PFI contracts.
  • Support all contracts in commercial improvement activities, including compliance reviews and training.
  • Explore new opportunities to add value to clients and improve margins across PFI contracts.
  • Collaborate on document management and maintain Commercial processes for PFI contracts.

Candidate Requirements:


  • Educated to Degree standard (preferably Law, Business, Quantity Surveying or similar),
  • Extensive experience of working within a commercial FM environment.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of contracting and contract processes, including NEC3/4 or Crown Commercial Service Framework.
  • Proven ability to produce detailed and complex reports for internal and external parties
  • Experience working on a PFI contract
