Facilities Manager, Hertfordshire
We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to manage an Education Facilities Management Contract in Hertfordshire across 2 schools

The Facilities Manager post is full time, working 37 hours per week 8.00am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:00am to 3:30pm on Friday. The successful candidate will need to be flexible regarding working hours in order to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications/ Requirements
- A proven track record in a senor facilities management role
- Previous experience managing staff on a facilities management contract ideally within an education environment (advantage)
- The ability to think on their feet and adapt to the changing demands of the business
- Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and organise a team to ensure that tasks are completed quickly, efficiently and in an appropriate order
- Excellent organisational skills; able to manage a number of sub-contractors and third-party providers such as cleaning, maintenance and energy companies
- Knowledge of health and safety management and risk assessment
- Able to pass an enhanced DBS
- Must be flexible, able and willing to work extra hours to meet business needs. Weekend and evening work may be required
- Experience of managing buildings and grounds, staff and large budgets ideally within in a large school or similar environment.
- Experience of successful large scale project management, and an evidence of highly effective leadership and the ability to manage a complex and changing workload
- Experience of financial management at an organisation wide level, in particular with regards to the management of energy supply agreements and knowledge of renewable energy revenue management
- Ability to use IT to collect data on school facilities, arrange record keeping and analyse and interpret results
- Ability to effectively and positively manage staff and staff
