Description

Role:  Electrical Buyer

Location:  Manchester

Salary:  £50k-£55k per annum

22 days holiday plus 8

The buyer plays a key role in supporting the procurement process by assisting the purchasing team in sourcing, negotiating, and securing the best value-for-money goods and services.

The successful candidate will be someone who has previous experience within a purchasing or buying role.

The successful candidate will have experience with procurement of electrical products or within a similar industry.

Duties of the Buyer:

· Assist in identifying potential suppliers, vendors, and service providers.

· Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.

· Communicate with suppliers to request quotes, negotiate prices, and terms.

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs.

· Generate purchase orders accurately and ensure timely processing.

· Monitor order status, delivery timelines, and handle any discrepancies.

· Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing suppliers.

· Address supplier inquiries, concerns, and maintain open communication channels.

· Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory team to optimise stock levels.

· Assist in analysing cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements.

· Support in preparing and managing departmental budgets.

Requirements of the Buyer

· Proven ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

· Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office suite.

· A self-motivated and team-oriented individual with a positive attitude.

· Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in the procurement domain.

· Previous experience in dealing with electrical products
