Head of Digital Transformation - Cheshire
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Digital Transformation to be based in Cheshire

- Salary up to £80,000 + Car allowance + bonus dependant on skills and experience
- Location -Cheshire
- Permanent, full time role
- 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
As the Head of Digital Transformation you will be responsible for delivering the digital portfolio, including end-to-end programme management, strategy, budget, execution, and risk management, and team leadership.
This role has exposure to senior stakeholders, and as such a collaborative approach to transformational leadership is required, engaging with business stakeholders and 3rd parties to deliver technology enabled business change.
The multi-disciplinary team you will lead consists of 4 web developers and a product owner, as well as system administration and web content roles.
The main 3 areas of focus are...
- Online development using CXP/CRM (Firmstep) and CMS (Contensis) systems, predominantly developing transactional facilities that are integrated into a back-office system.
- Solution design
- Usability and user experience
- Almost all developments that the team undertake include SQL, XML, JSON, XSLT, SOAP or restful web services.
Responsibilities include:
- Accountable for delivery of a portfolio of digital services
- Full remit for definition & execution of a digital strategy, aligned with business and client objectives
- End-to-end programme leadership, including strategy, budget, execution, risks / issue management
- Leadership, coaching & motivation of a multi-disciplinary ICT team, delivering the technology portfolio
- Monitoring technological developments, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and business growth
- Managing stakeholders, clients, 3rd party suppliers/partners and performance against contractual KPIs
- Reporting to the Managing Director and a member of the Senior Leadership Team
Qualifications and experience required:
- Extensive experience in leading and coaching digital delivery teams
- A strong technical understanding
- Experience of driving transformational change, business analysis, innovative digital solutions, process automation, continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, efficiencies and full benefits realisation.
- Thorough understanding of Scrum practices and a Scrum certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a thorough understanding of both business and technology concepts
- Strong organisational, problem solving and planning skills, including ability to prioritise and negotiate competing goals.
- Excellent client and relationship management skills.
- Diverse experience in leading Digital Transformation programmes with ideally with both public sector and private experience.
- Ability to translate business requirements into tangible, realistic IT programme deliverables & outcomes.
- Agile leadership experience and the ability to achieve desired outcomes through effective leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Scrum Master certification, with a pragmatic approach to applying agile best practice.
