Description

  • Electrical Shift Engineer

My client is currently for an Electrical Engineer to work as part of their well-established maintenance team, based on a large hospital in Wakefield. You will report into the Technical Services Manager and work alongside other electrical and mechanical engineers to bring a full ppm and reactive service to all building services on the site.

The shift are working 42 hours per week on a rolling rota and are:


  • 2 days - 7am- 7pm
  • 2 nights - 7pm - 7am
  • 4 days off

Duties of the role include:


  • Electrical PPM and reactive maintenance works to all building aspects both on the wards and behind the scenes in the plant rooms
  • Working alongside and managing subcontractors
  • Working on lifecycle and minor repair works
  • Working to all policy and procedures concerning health and safety
  • Electrics covered include lighting, wiring, BMS, alarms, generators, LV and HV etc

The candidate:


  • The ideal candidate must have:
  • Electrical qualifications - either City and Guilds or NVQ
  • 17 th or 18 th edition
  • Good customer service skills
  • Willing to work shifts
