Job Description
Our client is hiring a Commercial Gas Engineer to maintain and rectify all plant and equipment on site in line with PPM systems using appropriate engineering procedures and ensuring that all standards are maintained in office blocks and schools in and around London.
Package:
25 days holiday plus 8 statutory bank holidays
40 hour week
Van and fuel card provided
1 in 6 call out (excellent standing rates, call out rates and door to door)
Overtime rates:
Over 40 hours at time plus 1/2
Saturdays at time plus 1/2
Sundays at double time
Good performance bonus
Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:
- To operate, maintain and rectify all mechanical plant and equipment including distribution systems on site.
- Boiler annual preparation work, servicing and repair to large commercial boilers.
- To ensure that the supervisor is kept fully informed of all aspects of safety performance, plant performance and customer circumstances which may impact upon the safe, efficient, reliable and cost-effective operation of the plant and smooth operation of the contract
- The applicant will be required to be part of an on-call rota
- To maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and the client
- To complete all administrative functions correctly and efficiently, either paper log books or by using appropriate IT software, e.g. Maintenance Management System
