Project Manager - Fire Safety Systems

As the Project Manager on this a PFI healthcare contract, you will act client side on a 5-year programme of Fire Safety Works which is managed by the PFI provider. You will report to the Deputy Director of PFI, taking responsibility for building strong relationships and managing stakeholder expectations to ensure PFI project delivery is managed to a high standard

Duties
Lead the delivery of projects within the programme, ensuring that they achieve their objectives and are delivered to high quality standards, within target timescales and within budget
Support the Directorate in the management of capital projects within the estate
Responsible for financial management of capital budgets ranging from £50k to £15m generally and potentially over £100m for complex large scale programmes.
Support the management of contracts, specifications for tenders and awarding of new contracts
Oversee the commissioning and procurement of products, equipment, services, systems and facilities, as required for the delivery of the project
Qualifications/Requirements
- Previous Project Management experience on a PFI Healthcare contract
- Technical understanding of Fire Safety and MEP
- Relationship Management
- Self-motivation and drive to work towards best practice
- People and relationship focused
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Good report writing skills
- A building engineering and/or Construction related qualification
- IT Literate with a working knowledge of MS suite and Project
