Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their on-site maintenance team. Based in an educational setting.
The Commercial Gas Engineer will be required to undertake heating/combustion & mechanical plant maintenance reactive repair works on a range of commercial and domestic systems across the contract.
- Ensure all issued works are completed within set time frames to ensure SLA's are achieved and client expectations are met.
- Undertake heating/combustion & mechanical plant Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works, within set time frames to ensure statutory compliance.
- Proactively identify and undertake heating/combustion maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by the client).
- Undertake heating/combustion improvement & Lifecycle works as required.
- Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault finding.
- Evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment
- Provide on-call support for Heating & general maintenance reactive works as part of a team rota.
- Support the wider maintenance team with ad-hoc reactive & PPM works as required.
- Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner.
- Maintain stock, advising on requirements to ensure plant and system availability can be assured at all times.
- Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops and storage areas.
- Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings.
- Proactively work safely, ensuring the safety and well-being of yourself, colleagues, students and visitors.
