Assistant Project Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join a friendly and professional Facilities Management Organisation working on a PFI contract based in Swindon on a 9–12-month fixed term contract.
As the Assistant Project Manager, you will support the Project Management Lead (South) in managing the relationships between the clients, users, and the service providers.

Duties of the role
- Assisting Project Management lead
- Procurement and management of Life Cycle works
- Management of large construction variations on PFI contracts
- Procurement and management of smaller variation works as required
- Management and resolution of Construction Defects
- Risk identification, monitoring and management
- Programme management
- Protection of Project Company investment
- Maintenance of records and preparation of reports
Candidate/Role Requirements
- Previous Project Management experience on a facilities management contract
- Previous experience and knowledge of working within a PFI environment
- Ability to solve problems in complex environments
- Computer literate across the Microsoft suite and project management software packages
- Good communication skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in an easily understandable and persuasive manner
- Strong report writing skills
- Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines with excellent attention to detail
