Business Development Director
We have an exciting opportunity for a National Business Development Director to join a leading Facilities organisation to develop local government contracts
The BDD will develop key strategic governmental accounts and services to that market, whereby increasing awareness, increasing pipeline, and building and leading customer relationships.
The BDD will lead the growth of the technical facilities services division and taking accountability for customers, to ensure the company is well positioned to secure new contracts within the local government sector so the client is looking for someone who has experience in this space.

Duties include:
Lead on sales within the facilities management market contracts / local government sector
Develop the marketing strategy for the sector to raise profile
Client relationships networking across the FM markets
Strong FM local gov market knowledge and competitor trends
Attending and presenting at networking events
Manage the routes to market
Engage and nurture c-suite executive relationships across the industry which will generate new business opportunities and raise the profile of the company in the sectors
Keep all stakeholders informed as opportunities progress through the cycle
Proactively building key (top 25 external) client relationships to maintain a strong pipeline and win rate
Delivering pipeline of biddable opportunities which, at appropriate win-rates, is sufficient to secure Medium Term Plan growth
Support the bid team
Strategic, Financial, Risk Analysis & Business Assurance systems
Qualifications/Requirements
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with proven ability to quickly build relationships with new clients.
Articulate, innovative and challenging mindset with strong collaborative style
Track record of winning outsourced service deals in the local government sector essential
Proven ability to develop and maintain sales
Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to lead teams and work under pressure to strict deadlines
Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
Holds a relevant degree or similar relevant subject or equivalent
