My client is currently recruiting for an electrical maintenance engineer to join their maintenance teams, covering various Public buildings in Leicester. You will report into the Technical Services Manager and work alongside other electrical and mechanical engineers to bring a full ppm and reactive service to all building services on the site. The role is 37.5hrs a week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm. Overtime is available to boost the salary if you would like to do some out of hour's work.

You will be paired up with an engineer who will drive around sites with you.

Duties include:

• Electrical work on the wards completing all manner of electrical works such as lighting, wiring, sockets, PAT testing etc
• Routine checks such as emergency lighting, alarms, and backup system checks.
• Planned preventive maintenance.
• Fault finding and breakdown work.
• Basic replacements such lightbulbs which could be working at height.
• Filling out paperwork associated with electrical works.
• Submitting a weekly timesheet.
• Working to health and safety regulations.
• Completing all necessary paperwork associated with the role.
• Managing on-site contractors.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• 18th edition.
• Electrical City and Guilds or NVQ.
• Experience of fault finding.
• Experience in a commercial or domestic maintenance environment.
• Willing to undergo additional training such as to become an AP (authorised person).
• Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken
