Description

Project Manager - Portsmouth


  • This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 09.00 - 17.00).
  • Portsmouth - Hampshire
  • On offer is a salary of £38,000- £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
  • Facilities Management contract
  • Healthcare experience (preferred) HTM knowledge, or have managed multiple projects across critical or Complex sites

The role holder will report to Head of Projects and will be responsible for managing and executing a variety of projects across a healthcare contract in Portsmouth including Lifecycle Planned Projects, Variations and Small Works, showing at all times a strong methodical approach to project management with a good knowledge and understanding of CDM.

To provide Project management support in the following activities but not limited to:

- To act as PC (Principal Contractor).

- Ensure the Quality System is implemented and maintained on projects.

- Ensure Engie & CDM documentation is prepared for all projects.

- Nominate and manage project engineers/contractors and reviewers for projects where appropriate.

- Ensure the highest standards of performance and conduct are maintained at all times.

- Maintain the Clients standards and corporate responsibilities and ensure they are in line with the current health, safety and environmental legislation.

- Liaise with Project Co-ordinators of other Company disciplines.

- Check job-costing results for projects handled. Ensure correctness prior to closing off for the month.

- Take responsibility for financial performance of projects under your direct control.

- Assist with commercial to overview financial performance.

- Ensure that contracts are appropriately administered, fee invoices are submitted regularly, fee variation claims supported and submitted in a timely fashion.

- To act as the main point of contact, when applicable, between staff, contractors and client

- Maintain close client contact throughout projects to ensure that the Companies position from both technical reputation and financial performance point of view is enhanced at all times.

- Participate in regular meetings as required to discuss management, technical and financial issues.

Qualifications

Essential:

- Ample experience in a Project Management or a senior technical management role in Facilities/ Hard FM marketplace,

- Although Mechanical or Electrical qualification is preferred, we will consider candidates who are very experienced within Mechanical or electrical project management but don't have a formal qualifications.

- PD (Principal Designer) and/or PC (Principal Contractor) Experience

- Electrical & Mechanical Professional Qualified or equivalent level of knowledge.(preferred)

- NEBOSH/IOSH or a health & safety qualification with a strong engineering knowledge

- A thorough knowledge of all aspects of Project management
