My client is recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to be based in Lakenheath with some requirement to travel in the south and East of England plus London. The role is 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. There are 25 days holiday and a robust benefits package.
The role on offer is quite a broad role , from posting journals and chasing debt to preparing forecasts/budgets and holding review meetings with senior management. You will be working for an innovating employer in a fast-paced industry.
The main duties and responsibilities are:
- Be an effective partner to the business, providing support, challenge, expertise and a clear framework as appropriate.
- Liaise with the client and maintain a positive client relationship throughout the delivery of the contract
- Partner with the Contract team by providing financial information and interpretation, undertaking proactive analytical and other investigations, contributing to developing a better understanding of the business and improving operational performance.
- Leading monthly finance review meetings with Account Director to understand performance and to drive profitability
- Preparation of the monthly rolling forecasts, monthly management accounts and commentary including identification of risks/opportunities.
- Work with contract management to prepare and ensure that plans, budgets and forecasts for the contract are both challenging and achievable.
- Excellent cash and working capital management from transaction to revenue recognition in the P&L
- Partner with the contracts to shape and manage performance KPI's.
- Liaise with the Shared Service Centre to ensure efficient provision of service alongside contract compliance.
- Work with the Senior Finance Business Partner to manage the delivery of all financial processes to their BU.
- Attend contract / sector committees and meetings as required, including meetings with the client.
- Review and challenge monthly business processes and performance including revenue recovery/generation, cost management and cash conversion
- Intervene where required to support compliance and alignment objectives.
- Drive for value at the bottom line, with a focus on revenue enhancement / protection and on cost saving opportunities.
