Tamryn Roberts
I’m a Talent Resourcer here at 300 North.
Tell Us About Yourself
I’m Tamryn, a people person at heart with a passion for connecting others with meaningful opportunities. I love a good laugh and believe in always bringing a positive energy wherever I go. I am also a proud mom to a busy (and very
entertaining) 4-year-old who keeps me on my toes!
Please tell everyone about your role and a little bit about your professional background
I am a Talent Resourcer focusing on the Facilities Management and Construction sectors. I have worked in agency recruitment for the past 6 years, building strong client and candidate relationships. I pride myself on being approachable, driven and committed to quality matchmaking – on both sides of the hiring table.
What is the first job you ever had?
My very first job was waitressing at a local pub – I definitely learned patience and people skills, very quickly!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spending quality time with my family, experimenting with new recipes (usually something spicy), or binge-watching a good series with a cup of tea.
Dream travel location?
France – whether it is exploring the romantic streets of Paris, relaxing in the South, or enjoying pastries in a little village café – it is definitely at the top of my list!
Favourite movie/book?
Pretty much anything animated – I love the clever adult humour hidden in them. Whether it is Shrek or Despicable Me – I’m all in!
Favourite country visited?
I have only been to the USA so far, but Vegas and Niagara Falls were definitely my favourite destinations – both so different but equally unforgettable!
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
Probably a holiday home near the mountains and maybe a plane ticket or two for a once in a lifetime trip!
Hidden talents? (& tell us something about yourself that people might not know!)
I have an impressive memory for song lyrics – 90’s hits, Disney songs, you name it! Something about myself that people might not know: I am always down for a competitive game of 30 Seconds or Monopoly!
Nathan Smallwood
I’m a Principal Consultant here at 300 North specialising in Fire Safety.
Tell Us About Your Professional Background
Fire safety is an industry I’ve been involved in for the past 5 years and am very passionate about. I work with a wide range of clients to introduce Surveyors and Managers onto Fire Safety projects across the UK. I enjoy finding and then working with 'A Game' candidates, introducing them to fantastic clients and finding them roles on projects that suit them and their skillsets.
What Do You Like Doing Outside Of Work?
I enjoy getting to the gym or generally just being outdoors, whether that’s local family walks, bike rides, hikes, getting away for the weekend to the east coast or sitting in a beer garden and enjoying some rare sunshine with a Guinness.
Tell Us Something About Yourself That People Won't Know
I have skydived with the Army’s display team The Red Devils, an experience which I would say everybody should try! I’m also a keen cook!
If You Won The Lottery What Would You Buy?
Tickets to Australia to explore for a few months! We have extended family over there and haven’t yet managed to visit. The weather, beaches, general outdoor lifestyle and regular barbecues are more than attractive!
Sarah Ramsey-Armitage
Prior to 300 North, I worked as an Internal recruiter in FM and Logistics and built up a recruitment department from scratch. At 300 North I’m a Talent Resourcer specialising in FM – Hard Services & M&E. I work alongside Joe and Jack to recruit Engineers, Administrators, Team Leaders, Supervisors and Managers in Electrical, Gas and Air Conditioning.
Tell Us About Your Professional Background
My first real paid job was when I was 17 and worked as an Administrator whilst going to night school to study Law. I'll never forget how I could get the bus directly to the office from home for 19p each way! From there I worked in criminal law, moved into being a qualified person-centred counsellor, and then I found my way into recruitment and have never looked back!
What Do You Like Doing In Your Spare Time?
I love visiting family over tea and cake and catching up with friends at a bottomless brunch! I do like to have ‘me’ time too and enjoy mindful thinking and I meditate daily. I'm involved in raising money for charities, in particular mental health which is very close to my heart. I help run a modified car club and raise money for the charity MIND, taking part in car shows.
What's Your Favourite Sport?
Motorsport! Especially attending Santa Pod Raceway for the European Drag Racing, followed by Stock car racing at Bradford. I love the adrenalin, noise and weirdly the smell.
What's Your Hidden Talent?
Baking Christmas Cakes!
