- Salary equivalent £19,500
Our client is looking for 2 Maintenance Assistants/ handy persons to join their growing team.
You will be based on one site in Middlesbrough and work as part of the maintenance team.
The Role
- 37.5 hours per week
- You will be required to respond to requests that come through the helpdesk to carry out maintenance checks across the estate
- You will work to respond times (KPIS) depending upon the urgency of the request.
- Maintenance duties may include changing a light bulb, unblocking toilets or sinks, replacing broken staff alarms or making the site safe until the contractors are able to attend site.
- You are the eyes on site ensuring excellent safety at all times.
The Person
- Experience of working as a handy person or in a similar role is advantageous.
- You will be key chained to access the premises
- You will be required to obtain a standard DBS security check if you do not already have one (paid for by the client)
- You are not expected to know everything but able to use your initiative in situations.
These are long term temporary roles which could become permanent for the right person.
