Building Fabric Engineer
We are recruiting on behalf of a large Facilities Management Organisation for a Building Fabric Operative to work on a large Facilities Management Contract in East Anglia, Thetford

- Full time Permanent role

- Building fabric repair and maintenance
As the Fabric Engineer you will be responsible for reactive repairs on all fabric items through commercial and Dormitory buildings.
Duties
- Preparing buildings/rooms for decoration by removing door furniture
- Door, floor and ceiling repairs
- Maintenance checks on all fabric items
- Minor plumbing checks and repairs on sinks and taps
- Painting touch up and making good
- Liaising with other trades for dorms change of occupancy works
- Clear communication of the company vision and objectives ensuring the implementation of new procedures
- Promote and drive the company values
Qualifications or Required Experience:
- Previous building fabric and maintenance & repair background
- Have experience within joinery, plumbing or painting
- In depth knowledge of fabric repair and building maintenance
- Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of health and safety rules and legislation
- Good communication skills
- Driving licence is required
