Operations Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Facilities Management Organisation for a temporary Operations Manager to work on a Facilities Management Contract for 6 months in Canterbury, Kent.

General Overview:
As the Operations manager you will be accountable for all aspects of the delivery of the Operations and Maintenance agreement to achieve fiscal, performance, reliability and safety targets. You will also line manage a team of 5 people.
Duties
- To produce, track, and achieve the annual budget.
- To line manage the site team of 5 and verify all operations, maintenance, and repair works is carried out in line with contract specifications.
- To Monitor and audit record keeping within the CMMS and site archive systems.
- Reporting of performance to the senior management team.
- Identify, coach and develop the team with a strong focus on SHEQ and customer support.
- The ability to operate, diagnose faults, maintain and rectify all mechanical and electrical plant and equipment, including the distribution of those services would be highly beneficial.
- To champion company process and compliance with all relevant legislation, to act as a role model and lead AP for relevant safe systems of work.
- To become fully familiar and follow the company and site procedures, standards, and expectations as expressed in the company handbook
- Experience of financial responsibilities, raising purchase Orders, Receipting and tracking spend.
- This role requires participation in providing a 24/7 callout response to the client
Requirements/Qualifications
- HNC/HND qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
- Proven management experience in an industrial setting
- Experienced in the operation of steam and power generation equipment, Holds B.O.A.S. Dip.BOM accreditation or similar.
- Experience of compliance of PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, IPPC Permits, Statutory Inspections
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead teams
- Ability to self-motivate and work unsupervised to tight deadlines.
- Conducts themselves professionally in all aspects of their role. Strong Health and Safety focus, Posses NEBOSH or willing to undertake
- Promotes and fosters a health and safety culture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Familiar with MS office
