We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations & Maintenance Manager to lead, co-ordinate and deliver the Critical Support strategy for a large defence site near Portsmouth
Duties Include:
- Deliver the management monitoring and provision of utiliies
- Develop the maintenance strategy for analysing repair vs replace data to direct future investment
- Deliver operations and maintenance of critical infrastructure
- Determine the long term skills and capability requirements to maintain services
- Evaluate strategic partnering options to deliver future capabilities.
- Provide vision, strategic and operational leadership for facilities management and critical services delivery
- First point of contact with for services and operations
- Develop and deliver asset repair or replace strategy based on condition data analysis to direct future expenditure
- Develop safety culture
- Ensure the financial performance of the Operations & Maintenance delivery business, including sales, cost of delivery and margin.
- Ensure the non-financial performance of the Operations & Maintenance delivery business including contractual KPIs, non-contractual Service level agreements, Customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. (e.g. business blueprint)
- Drive business improvement.
- Provide costed proposals for additions to the scope of the contract and for new projects and services
- Drive continuous improvement in service cultures through benchmarking with adjacent industries
- Evaluate strategic partnering options to deliver future capability and contracts.
- Ensure 24/7 365 delivery of critical support
Qualifications/Requirements
- Comprehensive experience of the workings of the defence community and its principal stakeholders
- In depth knowledge of Facilities Management best practice and how that applies within a multi-faceted environment (e.g. High Voltage Power, Steam Distribution, Heavy engineering working environments, building services)
- HNC/D/Degree qualified in a Technical discipline
- Comprehensive experience in managing multi-disciplined teams, with comprehensive understanding of the disparate operations.
- Financial and Business Acumen.
- Comprehensive understanding of the financial systems and processes in order to effectively manage and forecast expenditure
- Business and financial planning
- Comprehensive understanding of business reporting requirements
- SHE Qualification (e.g. NEBOSH)
- Detailed knowledge of key residents of the defence or security site and their activities and key stakeholders
