Description

  • 2pm - 10.30pm, 40 hours a week

My client is a large, market leading FM company who provide engineers into commercial environments to maintain and mange their buildings. The role on offer is to be based a large distribution centre and manage all planned and reactive maintenance across the site. The hours of the role are 2pm - 10.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch.

The site is a new build and so all of the M+E assets are new and state of the art and comprises of a large warehouse and accompanying offices.

Duties of the role include:


  • Being the primary contact for all building maintenance concerns across a large, fast-paces site
  • Managing all PPM's and reactive call outs on site which will largely be electrically biased, however you will also be expected to cover mechanical and fabric work as required.
  • Being responsible for all lighting, wiring, sockets, alarms, UPS, HV and LV on site as well as emergency lighting and backup systems.
  • Liaising with the onsite customer as the face of the business in a professional and presentable manner, attending client meetings on a regular basis to cultivate an excellent working relationship
  • Liaising with onsite subcontractors and managing associated paperwork
  • As the site grows other engineers will join the team (mechanical and fabric), when this happens you will be the technical lead and main contact for the site, guiding the other engineers and working as a team to provide a full FM service.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:


  • Electrical qualified - City and Guilds or NVQ
  • Ideally 18 th edition
  • Willing to complete all areas of maintenance
  • Experienced in commercial maintenance in a large commercial environment, ideally critical
  • Strong customer facing skills
  • Presentable and polite
