• Salary: £200 - 230 per day depending upon experience

Our client is looking for a Site Manager to join their team to work on refurbishments and extensions.

The Role:

• You will report directly into the Project Manager
• Overseeing subcontractors on across the contract.
• You will be responsible for the work being carried out by the contractors on site in line with CDM regulations.
• Issuing permits
• Ensuring all all H&S files are kept up to date and ensure the safety of workers on the site
• Checking method statements..
• Checking equipment & plant.
• Programming works in relation to the clients requirements.
• Programming emergency evacuations.
• Paperwork
• Knowledge of CDM application to any construction project
• Understanding of Temporary Works process and application
• Working at heights knowledge and application
• Full understanding of H&S elements - RAMS review, hot works, site set-up, site traffic, fire and emergency planning, fire risk assessment
• Construction Phase Plan application and ability to update the live document, fire management plan, etc.
• Capable of understanding the competence review process for subcontractors, pre-qualify operatives before they are allowed on site to carry out any works
• Induction process underpinning full understanding and acknowledgement by the operatives on their work task RAMS and the imperative of ensuring that operatives sign-off their RAMS before they are allowed to be on site.
• Progress reporting, waste management and others

• SMSTS
• CSCS Black
• 1st Aid
• Asbestos Awareness
• Fire Marshall
• Driver
• Good communication skills.
