Our Client: is one of the largest independently owned construction, and FM companies in the UK with over 50 years' experience. The company has a strong entrepreneurial culture - built on the foundations of innovation, productivity and sustainability.
An opportunity has arisen for a Gas Engineer to work on a large schools contract in the Hull area. The role will be completing ppm and reactive maintenance across the mechanical services, as well as providing emergency repair work on basic fabric and electric provisions.
There is a call out of 1 in 3 and overtime available.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Mobile Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Carrying out installation and maintenance work to heating installations of all types in domestic and commercial buildings across the school portfolio and be fully conversant with all aspects of the heating systems.
- To undertake routine PPMs as assigned including reactive tasks.
- Ensure that all repairs and installations are compliant with current regulations
- Maintain equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures associated with HVAC
- Diagnose faults on equipment and repair as necessary using manufacturer's manuals and drawings as required
- Liaise with the Helpdesk Co-ordinator, Lead Engineer and Facilities Manager, to ensure appropriate response to planned and reactive task.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified gas engineer with experience in commercial maintenance work. They must also be flexible and willing to complete general maintenance as required by the customer.
- ACS qualified in Commercial and Domestic Gas Modules
- Previous experience working for similar building services company or have a background in building services/facilities management
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Advantageous if competent in carrying out minor electrical/fabric repairs
- IPAF & PASMA trained
