Site Manager / Site Supervisor - Civil Engineering, Groundworks & Infrastructure

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Company Vehicle + Fuel Card + Profit Share + Accommodation

Location: UK Wide

Type: Permanent

300 North are supporting a growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor in the appointment of Site Managers and Site Supervisors due to a significant increase in workload and an expanding project portfolio across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established contractor delivering civil engineering, groundworks, remediation, infrastructure and environmental projects for a range of public and private sector clients.

Projects typically range from £100,000 to £2m+ and include enabling works, groundworks, infrastructure upgrades, hard landscaping, remediation works, utilities and associated civil engineering projects.

The business is continuing to grow and offers long-term career progression opportunities for ambitious Site Managers and Site Supervisors looking to develop their careers within a successful contractor.

The Role

Reporting to a Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Managing site based activities from mobilisation through to completion
  • Supervising direct labour and subcontractors
  • Coordinating plant, materials and site logistics
  • Delivering works in line with programme requirements
  • Maintaining site health, safety and environmental standards
  • Conducting site inductions, briefings and toolbox talks
  • Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed to specification
  • Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers and commercial teams
  • Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress
  • Managing client and stakeholder relationships on site

Experience Required

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor or General Foreman
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence
