- Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor
Cladding, Facades & Main Contracting
Kent / South East London
£80,000 - £90,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
We are currently supporting a growing contractor within the cladding, remediation and main contracting sector who are looking to strengthen their commercial team following a substantial increase in secured workload across the South East.
The business is delivering a mixture of:
- cladding remediation
- strip and re-clad schemes
- façade projects
- refurbishment works
- and wider main contracting projects
The projects are already secured and the commercial team now needs to grow around live delivery requirements and upcoming mobilisations.
The roles will be based between office and site with typically 1-2 site visits per week depending on project requirements.
The Opportunity
This is a particularly strong opportunity for somebody currently working within:
- main contracting
- refurbishment
- envelope
- external works
- cladding
- façades
- or specialist subcontracting
especially those feeling frustrated by:
- too many internal layers
- lack of progression
- slow decision making
- limited autonomy
- or being stuck within large commercial structures with little visibility of long term growth
The business is expanding quickly and the long term intention is to continue building the Southern commercial function over the next few years.
There is genuine opportunity here for people wanting:
- progression
- more responsibility
- broader project exposure
- and a clearer route into senior commercial leadership positions
Experience Required
The client understands that the strongest candidates may not come directly from a cladding contractor background.
However, it is important that candidates understand the commercial challenges associated with:
- remediation projects
- uncovering defects
- changing scopes
- legacy building issues
- and commercially managing works once buildings are opened up
The successful candidates will ideally have:
- strong commercial experience
- good contractual understanding
- experience managing multiple projects or packages
- strong communication skills
- and the ability to work independently within a growing team environment
Package
- £80,000 - £90,000 depending on level
- Car allowance
- Annual bonus
- Long term progression opportunities
- Growing and well-backed business
- Strong secured pipeline of work
